What to Expect from a Termite Inspector?

At Surekill Pest Control, our termite inspectors are highly trained and equipped to thoroughly examine your property for signs of termite activity. They are agile and fit, enabling them to crawl through subfloor and roof spaces to check for termite damage or past termite treatments.

Our inspection process includes the following tools and methods to ensure a complete and accurate assessment of your home:

03.1

Termatrac

The Termatrac is an advanced termite detection tool used to locate termite activity behind walls. It has a built-in moisture meter, a thermal reading device to detect temperature differences, and uses microwave technology to identify movement or presence of termites within your wall cavities.

Camera (Wall Inspection)

If termite activity is suspected within a wall, our technician may drill small hole and insert a snake camera into the cavity. This allows them to visually confirm termite presence and pinpoint the exact location of the infestation for effective treatment, such as baiting or foaming.

Donger (Timber Testing Tool)

A donger is used by our technicians to tap on timber and assess its condition. This helps detect hollow wood, which is often a sign of termite damage or wood rot. If the donger easily pierces through the timber, there is usually termite damage or soft, rotting wood-an attractive condition for termites

Flashlight

A flashlight is essential for our termite inspectors when examining dark areas like subfloors and roofs. The Technician uses it to search for termite leads, mud tubes, and other evidence of termite activity, both past and present.

Moisture Metre.jpg

Moisture Metre

Moisture is one of the most conducive conditions for termite infestation. Our inspectors use a moisture meter to detect moisture variances within internal walls, pinpointing areas that may attract termites.
