Booking Information

Job Booking - Time and Duration

A General Pest Service takes approximately 1-2 hours to complete. When you book your service, you will be provided with a time window for our Technician's arrival, for example, between 10 am and 12 noon. Please note that if the Technician arrives at 12 noon, the treatment will be finished around 2 pm. 

 

Licensed and Insured Technicians

Surekill Pest Control Pty Ltd is fully insured by Pacific International. Our Technicians are licensed by the Environmental Protection Authority (EPA) and follow Australian Standards to ensure safe and effective pest control. All Trainees receive rigorous Rapid Training Courses combined with on-the-job training to maintain the highest level of service. 

 

Weather Conditions

General Pest Services cannot be conducted if rain is imminent. Our team will notify you in advance to reschedule your appointment in case of unfavourable weather conditions. 

 

Free Service Period

We offer a 3-month Free Service Period following the General Pest Service. If you continue to experience problems with cockroaches, webbing spiders, carpet beetles, or silverfish, our Surekill Technician will return within the first month to re-treat your property, free of charge.

How to Prepare for General Pest Service (webbing spiders, cockroaches, silverfish and carpet beetles)?

To ensure the effective treatment, follow these preparation steps before our Technician arrives: ​

  • Minimise clutter and rubbish

  • Store goods in plastic containers (avoid cardboard boxes)

  • Close all windows and turn off air conditioning during the treatment.

  • Provide access to roof and subfloor areas.

  • Inform the Technician of water tank locations.

  • Remove pets and their bowls from the treatment area. Also, pet dropping to be picked up and disposed of. 

  • Cover fish ponds and bird cages.

  • Remove washing from clothes lines.

  • Chemical-sensitive individuals should leave the premises until the treatment has dried and the area is fully ventilated.

Treatment - What to expect?

Discuss and Inspect

Our Surekill Technician will take time to discuss your specific pest issues and perform a thorough inspection of your property. They will also conduct an Environmental Inspection Report to ensure safety and compliance with EPA  regulations before proceeding with treatment.

 

​Payment

Payment is paid at time of service via cash, credit, or EFTPOS.

Spray Inside and Outside the Property

The Surekill Pest Control Technician will apply a targeted treatment to all surfaces where cockroaches, webbing spiders, carpet beetles, and silverfish are known to be active. 

  • Inside Areas: Skirting boards and other high-traffic areas.

  • Outside Areas: Yards, patios, verandas, and decks.

Dust Subfloor and Roof Void

For enhanced control, our Technician will apply dust in subfloors and roof voids. This dust serves as a flushing agent and has a long-lasting residual effect.

What to Expect After Treatment

Pest Management Plan

​Once the treatment is complete, our Technician will create a Pest Management Plan tailored to your property. This plan will outline when you should schedule your next treatment, and we'll send you a reminder closer to that date. If you have other pest concerns, feel free to discuss them with our Technician.

Dead Pests

Following treatment, you may notice dead pests on the ground or see pests moving slowly. This is a sign that the treatment is working. it typically takes around 21 days for all pest activity to cease. 

You can start brushing down cobwebs with a broom or vacuum cleaner after two weeks. 

Treated Area

Avoid contract with treated surfaces until the chemical has dried completely.

How to Keep Pests Away

Here are some tips to prevent pests from returning:

  • Clean surfaces regularly and wipe down after meals.

  • Store food in sealed containers and remove water sources.

  • Seal cracks, crevices, doors, and windows.

  • Clear away debris like grass cuttings, leaves, rocks, and bricks.

  • Install door draft excluders.

  • Change outdoor light bulbs to yellow to deter flying insects. 

  • Fix leaking pipes.

  • Inspect cut flowers for carpet beetles before bringing them indoors.
