Weather Conditions

Fly control inside the property can be carried out in both dry and wet weather conditions. However, outdoor fly control must be done in dry weather, as aerosol sprays can be infective in rain or windy conditions.  Additionally, baits that are applied around fly harbourage areas will be washed away by rain, reducing their effectiveness.

Treatment

During a fly control treatment, our Surekill Technicians will focus on using highly effective methods such as fly baits and traps. The Technician will strategically apply granule and aerosol fly baits in areas where flies breed and congregate. Fly traps will also be set up to catch and reduce the fly population.

Unlike other pest treatments, we do not use a liquid spray for fly control, as our baiting systems is designed to directly target flies at their source. This ensures a thorough and effective approach to control the infestation.

03.1

Fly Baits

Fly baits are one of the most effective methods for outdoor fly control. Our Technician will strategically sprinkle granular baits in areas where flies tend to gather and breed. The baits attract and eliminate flies before they can become a larger problem. We ensure the baits are placed in harbourage areas (where flies are most active) for maximum efficiency. Since baits can be washed away by rain, outdoor fly treatments will be scheduled in dry weather.

In addition to granular baits, our Technicians will spray surfacers with a highly effective aerosol bait that kills flies upon contact. This treatment is especially useful for flies that land on surfaces like walls and outdoor furniture. As both types of bait can be affected by rain, outdoor fly treatments are scheduled in dry weather to ensure optimal results.

During the fly season it is recommended to reapply the baits every 4 to 6 weeks or when the flies are no longer visibly affected where the product has been applied.

Fly Traps

Fly traps are another essential part of our fly control strategy, suitable for both indoor and outdoor use. Our Technicians will recommend the best trapping device for your situation:

  • Indoor fly traps: Special fluorescent light traps are installed on walls to lure flies inside it. These traps are discreet, requiring minimal maintenance, and are highly effective at reducing the indoor fly population without drawing attention to their presence.

  • Out door fly traps: for outdoor control we use traps that specifically target male flies, thereby reducing the fly population. As the male flies are caught, female flies lose interest in the treated area, preventing further breeding.
